Looking Back at 2020

2020 was a year filled with so many different events.  The spread of Covid-19 put a screeching halt to our Spring Boutique Craft Show, meetings were cancelled, we stayed at home, ate too much, exercised too little, and tried several new things too.

We lost two of our dedicated board members, Sharon Takahashi and Merriam Olds.  They left huge holes in our hearts and we are grateful for their contributions to the Guild over the years.

A Harvest Boutique Craft Show was held in the fall and we were pleased with the outcome. Even with the constraints of social distancing, wearing masks, and lower attendance, we considered it a success.  We got to see old friends and customers, visit with members, have some fun, and even make some money.

We have a new meeting place and day.  Our new meeting location is at The Christmas Goose Quilt Shop at 2988 S. Durango Dr. Suite 109.  It's a lovely shop and makes you want to buy tons of fabric and patterns.  We meet the 3rd Saturday of the month.  Meetings start at 12:30, jurying of applicants start at noon.

An informal holiday party was held in October.  Thanks to Susan Tracy and Roma Deli we had a delicious lunch and desserts from Nothing Bundt Cakes.

A 2021 spring craft show is scheduled for Saturday, May 15th and Sunday, May 16th at the Sahara West Library.  We are thinking positive thoughts that the Covid virus will be under control by then.

Closing the door on the past, and looking forward to a safe and healthy 2021.  Sharing some pics  with you from 2020.
